If Picasso used thread
Astonishing! 😮
Who said you need to use paint on that canvas? I’ve seen plenty of needlework and creative crafts in my life, but the embroidery in this museum in Seoul was eye opening. Seeing these large pieces hung on the wall of the museum like paintings expanded my vision of what can be done with a needle and thread. 🤔🧵🪡🖼
It brought to mind the elegant tapestries in castles of old 🏰, when artists would spend uncountable hours creating a scene of the king valiantly hunting in the forest. The pieces in this exhibit give a modern twist to that artistic tradition.
Magnificent! 😊
