Unity & Justice & Freedom

Germany is an amazing country is so many ways. Marvelous cities, beautiful countryside, delightful beer gardens, and more. I’m sorry that I had to cut it short on this trip, because I was mostly focused on visiting some Eastern European countries that I hadn’t seen before. But this a wonderful place to visit, no matter how much time you can spend here. π
Germany today is a powerhouse, the largest economy in Europe. Its motto, “Unity and Justice and Freedom” shows the values that are important here. Of course there are political challenges (like there are everywhere, all the time). But overall it has a lot going for it in terms of the strong economy, the lifestyle and education of the people, and its charming towns and beautiful places.
Then there’s the fascinating history! It was 2,000 years ago that this area was named “Germania” by Julius Caesar. From ancient tribal lands, up through the Middle Ages, and all the way to the two World Wars, Germany has seen it all.
And after so many difficult times, the country has not only survived but thrived. Prost! πΊπ

A Fitting Welcome to Berlin
